Company History

The company has been trading since the 1930's and was incorporated as a limited company in 1965. The company has a total staff in excess of seventy that comprises highly skilled electrical and mechanical operatives that are backed up by a qualified and experienced team of engineers and designers.

All operatives are J.I.B. registered and with the exception of larger sites are directly employed. Indeed many operatives were trained as apprentices with this company and a large number have been with us for twenty years or more. All our staff take a considerable pride in the standard of their workmanship and the ensuing reputation that the company enjoys.

Originally the company started trading as Electrical Contractors only (when push bikes with carriers were the local means of transport!), the business soon expanded and a number of retail outlets selling a wide range of electrical goods were opened and developed. In the late 1970’s a national retail chain purchased these outlets to enable the company to concentrate on the contracting works at a purpose built unit on the local industrial estate.

As services became increasingly complex and electrical and mechanical services more and more integrated, with the advent of BEM systems etc, it was decided to expand the company to incorporate all aspects of building engineering services. With this in mind, in 1974 a mechanical services division was created. As a result of which the company is now able to design, supply and install all aspects of building engineering services and to ensure the total co-ordination of all trades.

Health & Safety

Health and Safety is regarded as a very important aspect of the company. Managers and site supervisors receive regular training and all staff undergo initiation training and regular tool box talks. A regularly updated Health and Safety manual is also issued to all operatives who are also encouraged to make their own contribution on health and safety matters.
